Metagil-GV1
Composition: Glimepiride 1 mg + Voglibose 0.2 mg + Metformin 500 mg SR
Metagil GV1 is a triple anti-diabetic combination containing Glimepiride, Voglibose, and Metformin. This powerful formulation targets diabetes through three mechanisms: increasing insulin secretion (Glimepiride), reducing carbohydrate absorption from the intestine (Voglibose), and lowering liver glucose production while improving insulin sensitivity (Metformin). It offers excellent both-meal and fasting sugar control and is commonly prescribed in patients whose sugars are not managed with dual therapy.

- Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
- Strong control of fasting and post-meal sugars
- Reduction of HbA1c levels
- Helpful for patients with high postprandial sugar spikes
Side Effects:
- Hypoglycemia
- Gas, bloating, stomach discomfort (common with Voglibose)
- Diarrhea or nausea
- Dizziness or mild weight gain
- Rare: lactic acidosis
Other Details:
- Should be taken just before meals
- Avoid skipping meals
- Not recommended in severe kidney or liver impairment
- Controls both PPBS and FBS effectively
